WHO WE ARE

An association from the past, for the past and the future.

The life of our association took root in the year of 1985 on the vine hill of Oszkó. Our purpose is to save and perpetuate the built or cultural values, traditions of the past. The first step was the preservation of the old thatched cellar vine house on the vine hill.  Its renovation was realized during summer ethnographic camps. Communities are always in the center of our activities. In the beginning the former theater group, folk dance group and choir enlightened the cultural life of the local and regional habitants. Our activities are significantly broadened for today. We have preserved our folk architectural knowledge, we actively perpetuate it, and we have a community building for teaching several other skills. Besides the old cellar we have accommodation buildings for 49 persons, and program offers for a forest school and other leisure time activities. Our multifunctional community house is suitable for organizing conferences, our wine shop for wine tasters. We also take part in the county’s civil life.
