It is significant from the point of view of folk architecture,
as it has preserved the features that are typical of other cellars of a similar age in Vasi Hegyhát,
so it is suitable for their presentation.
The exhibition space as an architectural heritage and the presentation
of the vineyard work connected to it fits perfectly
with the association's activities for several years.
The support provided the opportunity for the cellar to reveal its original function to the visitors,
by displaying the traditional object culture characteristic of the settlement and the landscape unit.
That's why we created the exhibition space with the help of an ethnographic specialist.
We wanted to illustrate the past not only with the help of objects, but we also tried to provide as
much information as possible by making use of the technical achievements of today. This was made personal for
the visitors through the film recordings of conversations with farmers who are still alive today and have memories.
József Szép, who had the closest connection to the Old Cellar, wrote down many beautiful poems and memories.
His autobiographical writing is important not only because of his personality, but also because of its cultural-historical significance,
so the publication of his book is a very significant moment in the "life" of the Old Cellar.
